We at the Medical University of South Carolina Lupus Erythematosus Research Group are working extremely hard to identify causes and better treatments for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). We are pleased to have had the opportunity of working with patients with lupus, their families, and friends over the years.  It is because of you that we are able to do what we do.

Members of the MUSCLE group are active in education programs locally through public schools, health fairs, news media, and churches, as well as nationally through leadership in the LFA and the Office of Women's Health.  Our team is comprised of Adult and Pediatric Rheumatologists, Nurse Practioners, Epidemiologists, Study Coordinators, and other Support Staff who are all caring and committed to increasing the community's awareness of lupus and promote earlier evaluation and treatment through clinical care services and research.
