Event Information
Walk for Lupus Now is a family-friendly event that raises funds to support the programs and services of the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA). The Orange County Walk for Lupus Now will take place on Saturday, June 12th at Orange County Great Park.To get Directions to Orange County Great Park: http://www.ocgp.org/visit/hours-directions/.
Day of event schedule:
9:00 a.m. – Walker check in opens
9:30 a.m. – Program begins
9:45 a.m. – Lupus Update presented by physician
10:00 a.m. – Walk begins!
11:15 a.m. – Entertainment
11:45 a.m. – Closing remarks
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, suitable for the weather. Refreshments will be provided.
Walker Prizes
Individual walkers who raise $100 or more will receive a commemorative Walk for Lupus Now T-shirt. Additional prizes, listed below, will be awarded to individuals who raise $250 or more. These prizes are in addition to the event T-shirt, are not cumulative, and are based on funds raised online, mailed in, or brought to the event. Event T-shirts and prizes will be distributed at the event. Please note that these individual prizes are based on individual (not team) fundraising totals.
Individuals who raise and turn in the following on or by June 12, 2010 will receive:
$100 – Walk for Lupus Now event T-shirt
$250 – Walk for Lupus Now long sleeved T-shirt or umbrella
$500 – Walk for Lupus Now stadium blanket
$1,000 – Walk for Lupus Now black front zipper jacket
$2,500 – any two of the above prizes
$5,000 – any three of the above prizes
Team Prize
Teams that raise and turn in $2,500 on or by June 1, 2010 will receive a team tent, where your team can meet to enjoy the event!

- Start a team. Walking with a team is more fun, and makes it easier to raise money.
- Raise money. Get valuable fundraising tips, and set up a personal fundraising page on this website to spread the word among friends, family, and co-workers.
- Walk with friends, family, and team members.
- Celebrate a job well done!
Turning in Offline Donations
You can bring your offline donations
with you Walk Day or mail them in ahead of time. Please turn cash into a
check or money order to ensure proper crediting. Write your name and
OC10 in the memo section of each check or money order and mail to:
